Maternity Photography
Relaxed, empowering portraits that celebrate this incredible chapter
Pregnancy is such a special season – full of excitement, emotion, and change. But it can also pass in a blur.
My maternity photography sessions are designed to help you slow things down and truly celebrate what your body is doing.
Whether you want something soft and natural, bold and editorial, or a beautiful mix of both, I’ll guide you gently throughout so you feel confident, comfortable, and completely yourself.
You’re welcome to come on your own, bring your partner, or include your children too. This is your story – and we’ll capture it in a way that feels honest, uplifting, and timeless.
What I Offer
My maternity sessions are relaxed, thoughtfully guided, and tailored to your style.
You’ll receive a gallery with a mix of softly posed portraits and real, heartfelt moments – images that reflect your strength, your glow, and the anticipation of what’s to come.
Here’s what you can expect from a maternity shoot with me:
A choice of studio or outdoor locations
You can have your session in my studio in Dartford for timeless, distraction-free portraits, or we can head outdoors for something more natural and scenic.
A calm, confidence-boosting experience
I’ll guide you with gentle direction and flattering posing. Most mums-to-be arrive saying they’re nervous… but leave saying they loved the whole experience!
Client wardrobe available
Partner and children welcome
If you’d love family images as well as solo portraits, we can absolutely include them. We’ll create a lovely variety without the session feeling rushed.
Guidance throughout
From styling tips to colour suggestions, I’ll help you plan a session that feels cohesive, beautiful, and true to you.
The Maternity Photography Experience
Before Your Session
Once you book, I’ll send over everything you need to feel prepared – including what to wear, how to choose colours, and what to bring.
If you’d like to use our client wardrobe, we can plan outfits in advance so you feel completely sorted.
Maternity sessions are usually best scheduled between 28–34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully round and you’re still feeling relatively comfortable – but we can absolutely work around what suits you.
During Your Session
Sessions are relaxed and fully guided, with time to change outfits if you’d like.
I’ll help you with posing and prompts that feel natural, and we’ll take breaks whenever you need them.
If your partner or children are joining, we’ll make sure to capture a gorgeous mix: you on your own, you both together, and family images that feel warm and connected.
After Your Session
Within around two weeks, you’ll receive a lovingly edited private gallery to view and choose your favourite images.
Your final images are delivered in high-resolution digital format, ready for printing, sharing, and framing.
You can also choose to purchase prints directly from your gallery.

Maternity Photography FAQ
When is the best time to book my maternity session?
Most mums book for around 28–34 weeks, but really the answer is whatever works best for you. Whether you’re earlier or later than that, just get in touch and we’ll plan what works best for you.
What should I wear?
You can use my client wardrobe, bring your own outfits, or do a mix. I’ll share guidance on colours and styles that photograph beautifully, and I’m happy to help you choose.
Can my partner and children be included?
Yes, absolutely. We can capture solo portraits, couple images, and family moments all in one session.
Where will the photoshoot take place?
You can choose between my studio in Dartford, Kent, or an outdoor location. If you’re unsure, I can recommend spots that suit the look you want.
I feel nervous about being photographed. Can you help?
Don’t worry, most people do feel nervous about it – but a large part of my job is to ensure you feel completely comfortable. I’ll guide you gently, pose you in a flattering way, and create a calm atmosphere so you feel supported from start to finish.
How long does the session take?
Typically around 1–2 hours, depending on outfit changes and whether family members are joining.
