Welcoming a new baby is one of life’s most precious moments – but those first few weeks pass far too quickly.
My newborn sessions are designed to gently pause time, capturing the tiny details, the tenderness, and the love that surrounds your little one from the very beginning.
As a mum myself, and after years of photographing newborns, I understand how delicate this stage is.
It’s why I go to great lengths to create a calm, peaceful experience that allows you to simply breathe, relax, and enjoy watching your baby being photographed with complete care.
Nothing is rushed – it’s all about comfort, connection and creating images you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

A calm and cosy studio environment
My studio in Dartford is a private, welcoming space designed for relaxed, distraction-free newborn photography.

From those curled-up, classic newborn poses, to gentle family moments together that perfectly encapsulate your connection.
Baby-led, always
I work slowly, safely, and patiently, following your baby’s cues and needs throughout.
Client wardrobe available
A selection of wraps, outfits and blankets for your little one, plus a large client wardrobe for parents.
Guidance throughout
I’ll help with styling, colours, and suggestions to ensure your images feel beautifully cohesive.
The Newborn Photography Experience
Before Your Session
Once you book, I’ll let you know everything you need to feel ready. You’ll also have access to my client wardrobe, and I’m always happy to help with outfit choices and colours.
Newborn sessions are best held when your baby is 5–21 days old, but older babies are always welcome too.
During Your Session
Sessions usually last around 2–3 hours to allow plenty of time for feeding, changing, cuddles, and settling. There’s no rush – everything is gentle and baby-led.
You can sit back and relax with a cup of tea while I take care of the rest, or join in for beautiful parent and family portraits.
After Your Session
Within around two weeks, you’ll receive a lovingly edited private gallery to view and choose your favourite images.
All final images are delivered in high-resolution digital format, ready for printing, sharing, and framing. You can also choose to purchase prints directly.

Newborn Photography FAQ
What if my baby doesn’t settle?
Please don’t worry – this is incredibly normal. I allow plenty of time during every newborn session for feeding, cuddles, and soothing. The session moves entirely at your baby’s pace.
When should I book?
Most families book during pregnancy to secure their spot, but I do my best to accommodate last-minute enquiries too.
Can parents and siblings be in the photos?
Absolutely. These images are so special, and I encourage parents and older children to be involved.
Do we need to bring anything?
Please bring:
- Plenty of milk or formula
- A dummy (if your baby uses one)
- A changing mat
- Entertainment for older children
- Any sentimental items you’d like included in the photos
Newborn sessions are relaxed and baby-led, allowing time for feeding, settling, and cuddles.
The studio will be kept warm and calm to ensure your baby is comfortable, and all poses are done gently and safely. Expect a peaceful session focused on capturing beautiful, natural moments of your newborn.
I have a large collection of wraps, blankets, props and accessories.
Where will the photoshoot take place?
All newborn sessions take place in my private studio in Dartford, Kent. It is a warm, welcoming space where you can relax while we create beautiful memories of your little one.
